Daily Life Adventures is a lifestyle blog that focuses mostly on self-care and journaling. But we will likely share some other topics as we go through this fun adventure called life. We hope our blog helps to inspire you to start and continue your own self care routine. You are worth it!

Who am I?

Hi there! I’m Dawn and I welcome you to one of my places on the Internet. I am a busy woman who runs 4 blogs, 2 Etsy shops, 1 Shopify store and a few other projects. I am a mom and a dog mom whose life can get pretty crazy.

As you can see, I can be quite busy! I do like busy because for me, most of it is fun. Ok, all but the dishes and cleaning the house. I am still looking for a house cleaning fairy, sigh…

When I am not blogging or creating digital content, I love to spend time outside. Ok so sometimes I am working outside too because some days are too nice to stay in. I love spending time with the family (humans and dogs) and relaxing with some video games at the end of the night.

Sure my life can seem pretty busy, but most of what I do here is fun – I shaped my businesses around what I want to do. Especially with this blog because I am sharing experiences that I had and why I think that self care is so important! I am hoping that you get inspired to invest time into your own well being too like I did. It is the best thing I could do for myself!

Who Am I to Help You With Self Care?

Well, my story was a bit different a few years ago and self care is what helped me out of everything I was in. No I wasn’t doing illegal things, I wasn’t into drugs or alcohol just completely letting myself go. Up until a couple years ago I was a different person. I put myself off for so many years that I was to the point of constant stress and anxiety. This is something that happens often with caregivers and parents. Along with the stress was also negativity.

Why? Because I didn’t have a great self image. I didn’t take the time for myself so I could improve it either. I was always a what can I do for the family, what do I have to do for the family and I don’t have time for myself kind of person. Seriously, I put off doctor appointments and everything because I just felt like I didn’t have time for myself. Truth is that I had time, I just didn’t take the time.

Fast forward to today and I am a much happier person. I have a great routine that has me feeling really good about myself! I do yoga every morning and go for a walk every day the weather is reasonable. But I also like to journal and remind myself what I love about myself. It helps keep me positive.

It doesn’t take money to practice self-care, you can do this on a super tight budget. It’s about loving and taking care of yourself, it doesn’t have to break the bank.

Please note that I am not a health care provider and I am not here to diagnose anything. If you suffer from depression, anxiety or any other illness please discuss this with a doctor immediately. They can be life threatening! While self care helped me to learn my own importance and that I do need to put myself first so I can take care of others, I didn’t use it to actually cure anything. It did help me relieve my stress and anxiety, but I also discussed my anxiety with a doctor. Self care is super important for everybody, but it cannot be used alone as a cure to illnesses.
